Naiguang Zhang

Zhang Naiguang was born ia 1927 in Hebei, China, and graduated in 1950 from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, where she studied with Xu Beihong and Wu Zuoren. She worked as a designer and illustrator for the Beijing Slide Production Co. and was awarded by the National Medical & Science Academy for excellence in her illustrations for United Nations publications on proper child care and nutrition in 1982 and again in 1986.

With her husband, Lu Kaixiang (d.), Ms. Zhang has travelled extensively, painting on location throughout China. Her watercolor and oil paintings are prized as collectibles in Asia, as well as Europe and North America, and have been exhibited throughout China (incl. Hong Kong) and in New York, and have been featured in the Art Monthly and the China Daily as well as in the Sino American Times. Ms. Zhang is a member of the Chinese Artists Assoc., the Beijing Watercolor Assoc., and is listed in the Biographical Dictionary of Chinese Contemporary Fine Artists. Her artworks are prized as collectibles throughout China, also in the United States, Canada, France, Holland, as well as Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Hong Lu

The Director of Golden Light Studio, Hong Lu, is a versatile artist and designer with extensive experience as a sculptor of realistic 3-D models for the ceramic, porcelain, and concrete industries, and has worked with the biggest names in these fields - Lenox, Franklin Mint, Massarelli's and Atlantic Mold. Her finely detailed figurines have a demonstrated popular appeal - selling successfully world-wide over many years.

Ms. Lu spent the first few years of her career in the fashion design field - subsequently branching off into the production of original bronze sculptures and ceramic pottery - some pieces having recently been exhibited privately in the Philadelphia area. Additionally she is accomplished as a painter and illustrator as well as a graphic designer - some of her work being recently featured in the Sino American Times.
